Hands on Training Ability: The ability to demonstrate clinical techniques with clarity and precision while guiding trainees through practical tasks, such as administering vaccines and preparing surgical equipment.
Communication/Problem-Solving Skills: Strong instructional and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex medical concepts in simple terms, tailor teaching approaches to individual learning styles, and provide clear instructions and feedback, while fostering problem-solving and critical thinking by helping trainees develop diagnostic and treatment planning skills and encouraging independent thinking with appropriate support.
Mentorship and Leadership: Patience to teach at the trainee's pace and offer repeated practice opportunities, empathy to understand the emotional challenges of working with animals and clients, and the ability to provide mentorship while fostering professional growth. Ability to lead by example in terms of professional behavior, ethics, and patient care.
